When to take it
Evening, or split
Three capsules in the evening, or split across the day — for example one in the morning and two in the evening. With magnesium, smaller amounts spread out are a better habit than one large dose at once.
Filled square: take it then. Small square: optional, if you split the dose.
Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function. Magnesium contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system.
Why this form
Bisglycinate, fully reacted
All the magnesium is bound to glycine. Some “glycinate” products are buffered with cheaper magnesium oxide to lift the number on the label. Ours isn’t.
Magnesium glycinate, explained →240 mg, below both limits
Three capsules give 240 mg — under the Norwegian maximum of 350 mg a day and EFSA’s 250 mg upper level for magnesium from supplements.
Why the evening
Evening is simply an easy moment to anchor the habit. The research on magnesium and sleep is still thin, so we discuss it in the journal — not on the jar.
